3Develop is the company of Frans Blok. While studying Architecture at Delft University in the eighties, frans witnessed the very beginning of computer aided design in architecture, which later became his specialisation. In the past 25 years he worked on the design and visualization of a large number, and a large variety, of projects.
From 1991 to 2000, Frans worked at Rem Koolhaas’ Office for Metropolitan Architecture, where he was involved in projects like the Souterrain in The Hague and vertical city De Rotterdam, but also in international projects such as the IIT in Chicago and the Jussieu libraries in Paris.
After moving to VHP in 2000 Frans worked on numerous projects in the border area of architecture, urban planning and landscape, including winning competition designs for Meerrijk (Eindhoven) and the Scheldt Quarter (Flushing). After VHP, in 2006 became part of Royal HaskoningDHV, the emphasis shifted to infrastructure, industry and water projects.
In 2013, Frans founded with 3Develop – visualization and design, to apply his knowledge and skills even broader.
